In order to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor (or assistant instructor*) you will need to complete the first* and second parts of the Instructor Development Course. Through independent study, classroom sessions and practical applications you will learn how to construct effective teaching presentations in the classroom, pool, and open water.

Prerequisites
- At least 18 years old
- PADI Divemaster (or equivalent) for at least 6 months
- 60 logged dives
- Medical clearance with 12 month
- EFR Primary/Secondary Care (or equivalent) with 24 months
Exit Requirements:
- Complete Instructor Development Course (IDC)
- Complete / Pass Instructor Examinations (IE)
- 100 logged Dives
- EFR Instructor Certification
